D ue the events of the last week, I was spending my free time archiving my old posts . I haven’t been the most prolific poster during my time here - still, I had 1,093 posts to save ( now 1,094 ) . The Save Page WE extension in Chrome worked fairly well, and was able to save comments with a bit of effort. Saving the comments is what stopped me from using the Kinja Archiver .
Have an unrelated ultralight, seen at the October edition of the Markets at Shrewsbury Cruise Night.

I used the same extension to archi ve mine. How did you go about saving comments? It s eemed like you had to open up the comments first before saving each page, and since t he Kinjamprove extension no longer works for me, I can’t open them all at once anymore . T he only way I could figure was to do things the old-fashioned way: click pending>show pending>load more> load more> load more, etc...
Much as I hated to lose those conversations, it was getting to be too much trouble to open all the comments on each post. Infinite scroll w as fighting me the whole time, preventing me from hovering my mouse over the “load more comments” button while I alternated between clicking and hitting the “end” key to re-reach the bottom of the page.

I opened every comment string manually; i t was a tedious process. It took me three evenings to get everything. The hardest part was staying on task and not re- reading every post and comment!
I’ve been using Chrome for viewing Kinja, which is working reasonably well. Kinja stopped working for the most part on Firefox, which is my preferred browser. (I believe the extension exists for both Chrome and Firefox).

It certainly was. It was mostly worth it... probably...
